Shasta Astronomy Club
One of the great joys we have as a club is to share our knowledge with the community. Sometimes, however, there are things we just don't know off of the top of our heads. Below are links to several educational outreach outlets where we hope you can find answer to your questions.
NASA's Night Sky Network - The Night Sky Network is a joint program of NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Besides hosting many of our club functions such as our mailing list and our calendar, the NSN offers a wide variety of educational and outreach materials.
NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration
The Planetary Society is the largest and most influential public space organization group on Earth.
NASA's Space Place - Fun and educational activities for students and teachers.
A great place for kids to explore! We are linking to a specific tool on the site though, Ready Jet Go 's Mobile Astronomy App. This app is a pocket planetarium for both the Apple and Android mobile platforms.
